the fog of busyness and routine…
look at us. we get on tumblr and are constantly posting our own little advertisements anchored in our egos of how we wish to present ourselves. we offer our masks and costumes as representations of what we want our audience to see ourselves as. AND, how many of us respond to each other? our little heart thangs. so trivial and sterile. we keep each other at a distance. and we surround our selves with walls and makeup. when do we really connect? when do we really let down our psychological walls and attempt to get to know each other here? some of us do take risks and let it all hang out in various ways. ranting. exposing our insecurities. but it’s not the norm. and when a serious rant happens often it is just hearted or skimmed quickly. i just don’t understand that. why are we here folks? i mean really. just to blog. just to post. that’s so one dimensional.
i think we need to slow down, post less and read more. pay attention and then comment. interact. be real. support each other. interject some levity. sympathize. cheer. agree. acknowledge. it’s a lonely world full of isolation. humanity is a lost virtue. let’s think and act outside that box.
my name is rob. and i’m a canadian. i see life as a feast. and tumblr is part of that magnificent meal. tumble with me. tumble with each other.
